Do you have a glowy foundation to recommend? Leave one in the comments please – asking for a friend πββοΈ lol.
I’ve been on the hunt for a while. Now that I’m 30, I am actively looking for a foundation that can give me a bit of a glowy complexion. My skin has stopped producing excessive oil – a feat which I had not thought possible after struggling with oily skin for more than 10 years! I even stopped using powder! Then one day, I saw this Luna Water Essence Founpact at my local chemist’s and I was intrigued, for I was suffering from a dreaded case of winter skin at the time. Into the basket it went!

If you’re in Korea, you’re able to search for this by looking for 루λ μμ μ€ μλΆκ΄ ν©νΈ, which loosely translates to Luna Essence Moisture Sheen Pact (= compact).
What it is: This is a cushion foundation that’s meant to be moisturising.
TL;DR: Great for people who don’t need coverage or staying power and who like shiny skin.
Ingredients:

Size/Quantity: The set comes with a case and two refills which are 15 ml each.
2 x 15 ml = 30 ml, which is a pretty standard foundation size.
Price & Availability: This is available at both Olive Young and Lalavla. The regular retail price is β©29,000, I got this one for β©23,000 on sale.
Opinion:
Packaging
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the packaging and presentation? It is beyond gorgeous as it looks like latte art!
This also came with a pretty decent makeup sponge puff, which I still use to the present day. It is the rubbery kind and it blends fabulously – better than regular sponges π₯.
Application
I made the mistake of using this with makeup sponges, I tried different kinds too: beauty blenders, regular sponges, rubbery sponges. I wasted time and money, for even though I always use sponges, this is the one foundation I would have to recommend a brush for so as to avoid wastage from the sponge soaking up all the product.
I tried layering but unfortunately, this didn’t layer well at all – no extra coverage, just more shine. π
The moisturising part didn’t wow me either – I hardly felt it in fact. Not that it was drying, I just didn’t feel that my skin was more moisturised.
Coverage and Staying Power
Coverage is very, very light – see photo above – and it does not stay on. I did try setting with a setting spray but that didn’t do much at all. You could of course add powder but then what’s the point of a glowy finish?
It did hardly anything for evening out my complexion – blemishes and dark circles were still there.
Final Thoughts
This wasn’t cheap and I was not happy with the coverage or the claim that it moisturised. I won’t be repurchasing.

Ooh I haven’t tried this one before, but it looks and sounds a bit like the Elensia Escargot Original Repair Essence Foundation but with more swirls haha I found that the Elensilia one has light to medium buildable coverage, leaves a nice glow on the skin but definitely also needs some sort of setting spray to stay put like you mentioned about this one. My skin does feel hydrated with Elensilia though. My fav cushion foundation, however, is the Hera UV Mist Cushion Ultra Moisture π

Iβve heard good things about Hera too! I still prefer medium to full coverage in foundations though because it allows me to put my best foot forward on bad skin days as well as allowing me to sheer it out when Iβm doing better. Any recommendations for glowy full coverage?? π
