🖤 The only product that’s ever gotten rid of my Blackheads. 🖤

Allow me to introduce: BBTTO Facial Silicone Cleansing Brush.

As I was commenting on blogger Simply Saima’s blog post the other day about a balm that supposedly melted blackheads, I mentioned that I had recently started using a silicone tool that had helped me get rid of visible blackheads… so here you go Saima & the rest of the Internet! 🤗

This tool has single handedly been responsible for erasing visible blackheads on my nose, which to date I had tried to treat with an array of products but which ultimately had done absolutely nothing to get rid of blackheads. Just to be clear, I am not sponsored – much too small of an audience for that! 😁

Up until then, I had tried cleansing balms, cleansing oils, acids and all manner of moisturisers, including this one by Beyond the Remedy, all of which had made absolutely no difference whatsoever. So usually, if I wanted to get rid of a blackhead, I had simply… extracted it, which I felt terrible about because I try not to squeeze and pick at my skin anymore.

As I was browsing Olive Young the other day, I saw this silicone facial massage tool. I have been a huge fan of facial massages ever since British makeup artist Lisa Eldridge’s video on how she maintains such beautiful skin despite the fact that she is well into middle age – I do recommend you give it a watch as it is so beautifully executed, and Lisa Eldridge truly is such a gem. And that is how I decided to pick up this facial massage tool.

Anyways, let’s get into the ins and outs of this handy little tool!

・What it is: ・

This is a silicone facial massage tool that you can use on dry or wet skin, with product or without any on. I would recommend to use it on wet skin in conjunction with a cleanser.

Life changing!

・Price & Availability: ・

I got mine at Olive Young Korea for ₩8,900, though it usually retails for ₩9,900.

・Size/Quantity: ・

It’s roughly the size of the palm of my hand or perhaps one of those Tangleteezer brushes that you can see flying around the drugstores. My fingers fit in easily without sticking out too much. The packet comes with only one brush.

・What the company says:・

Actually, there does not seem to be a company site, not even in Korean. I did find an Internet shopping site once I searched in Korean which appeared to stock this and which had some professional looking online banners and product promo photography, which you can find here (not an affiliated link, just something I found off the Internet).

The site basically just explains that the brush is made from silicone, that it is easy to clean and dry, that it helps cleanse your face thoroughly, that it comes in 4 different colours (I only saw my neon green one in store), and that it can be disinfected by dunking it in boiling water or by nuking it in the microwave.

・How to Use・

You do you of course, however here’s what I do. I use this at night only as I like to thoroughly cleanse after a full day of sunscreen and/or a full face of makeu.

First, I will use an eye makeup remover, followed by a micellar water and an oil cleanser.

I will then go on to spread a pH balanced foam cleanser all over my face and use this silicone brush to froth up the cleanser and deeply cleanse and massage all over.

・Why do I love this brush so much? ・

  • I had been struggling with blackheads on my nose for such a long time and I am glad to have finally found a product that makes An Actual Difference! My blackheads are pretty much gone and I really have to go looking for them.
  • The little bumps are super soft, almost velvety and encourage blood circulation through massage while reducing puffiness, in my opinion.
  • Facial massages feel really good and this tool makes them enjoyable, fast and easy!
  • As the brush is made from silicone, it is very durable. No need to go out and purchase refills – good for the environment, good for your pocket.
  • The brush acts a bit like a soap net, meaning that you can create lots of froth that is easily spread around.
  • If you are a germaphobe and/or acne sufferer like myself and don’t fancy smearing acne bacteria all over your face, all you have to do is heat it up in hot water and it is safe and clean to use again as you more or less sterilise (pasteurise? sanitise?) it, unlike e.g. a Konjac sponge or a Clarisonic brush head. Does anyone remember those? I don’t ever see anyone talk about those gadgets anymore?
  • The price is really reasonable considering it is something that I expect to last years and years.

・Final Thoughts:・

I really don’t want this to come off as an advert but looking at it now, I suppose it sounds like one. Oh well. It’s not though!

  1. yess!!! finally got around to reading and can’t wait to get my hands on it! I hope they continue selling this by the time I’m back. The Clarisonic and Foreo machines sprung to mind straight away haha this does seem like a more hygienic less expensive less frills version so it’s pretty amazing to read that it works so well for you!! another one added to the list 😀
