Some by Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner | It really is a 🟢 Miracle Product 🟢

I have included this toner in my 2020 favourites, in a toner empties post, and have mentioned it in the comments section on my own blog as well as others’ blogs. This has been in heavy rotation since 2019 and for someone as fickle as me, who likes to switch up her skincare routine and try new products all the time, this is really saying something. And yet, I have never posted an in depth review. Let’s remedy this today shall we?

It is an absolute holy grail for me – but of course, we are all different. Read Angela’s in-depth review here, which is a bit more balanced and well-rounded than mine. Unfortunately for me, I just love this toner so much, I cannot stop gushing and therefore, you should not expect a very subjective review. But then again, that’s what blogs are for, right? Sharing subjective opinions with the world. With my subjectivities stated and out of the way, let’s go in!

・What it is: ・

This is an acid toner that you use after cleansing. It can be used both day and night.

・TL;DR:・

I have been repurchasing for two years straight. Nuff said. 💚

・Price & Availability: ・

I got mine from Lalavla Korea, it usually retails for ₩18,900 though it does go on sale, which is how you can get it for ₩3,000-5,000 less than that.

・Size/Quantity: ・

One bottle contains 150 ml. It is somewhat small for a Korean toner, many of which come in 200ml, 300ml, or even 500ml sizes.

・Ingredients:・

Source: Inci Decoder

・Packaging:・

Packaged in a cardboard box, the toner itself comes in a green-tinted sturdy plastic bottle which dispenses well.

・What the company says:・

Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner, is packed with AHA, BHA and PHA. It’s just one of the products in the Some By Mi Miracle range and has developed a cult following worldwide. Using this toner just once a day for 30 days leaves skin cleaner, clearer and more radiant than ever before. Whether you have acne-prone skin, sensitive skin or blocked pores, this formulation of active ingredients has a low pH and is suitable for all skin types.

  • AHA – Removes dead skin cells.
  • BHA – Removes blackheads, whiteheads and sebum accumulated in pores
  • PHA – Helps prevent skin moisture loss and dissolves dead skin

Some By Mi AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner is formulated with scientifically proven ingredients and pure, natural and effective ingredients taken from nature.

・Consistency/Texture:・

This is a very watery toner which I think works best when swiped on with a cotton pad – I personally recommend Silcot cotton pads (previously reviewed here) to minimise wastage.

・Scent:・

All the reviews that I have read on this toner mention its strong tea tree scent. Perhaps my nose is broken, but all I get is a medicinal, rather than tea tree, scent, plus a whiff of minty freshness – which would make sense given that it contains peppermint oil.

・Application:・

I use this after cleansing both in the morning and the evening, before any hydrating or treatment products. As mentioned above, I like to use Silcot Uru Uru cotton pads to get maximum use out of the toner, as it is not terribly expensive but not so terribly cheap either.

Curiously, this foams up a little upon application with Uru Uru, which I attribute to the enzyme contents.

・Efficacy:・

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:

🟩 smooths and refines skin texture and pores

🟩 brightens skin tone

🟩 gets rid of skin flakes, dead skin

🟩 reduces redness

🟩 prevents acne over time

🟩 lightly hydrates

🟩 more even-toned, hydrated skin translates to anti-aging in my books

・Final Thoughts:・

I love this toner and will keep repurchasing as long as it is available. It has kept my skin largely clear and bright and for that, I will be forever thankful as good skin is a massive confidence booster for me.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

  1. Yay, you reviewed it! I edited my post to include the link to your review as soon as I finished reading it! ❤️❤️❤️

  2. You’ve made me want to try this so bad! I got a sneak peak of an advent calendar I’m getting this year and a deluxe sample of this is supposedly in there, well fingers crossed it actually is because I can’t wait to try it!

    1. Honestly lots of people out there don’t like it all that much. Maybe take my words with a grain of salt. I just can’t stop fangirling and I hope you’re not getting your hopes up too much just in case you find it a bit meh, like Angela. Then again, the fact that it’s been around in Korea for 5 years is saying something, considering their competitive market.

      1. No no don’t worry, reading yours and Angela’s opposing views + an olive young staff member telling me not to buy it few years ago intrigues me even more because I want to see if I actually like it or not 😅Plus I’ve wanted to try it for a long time mainly because I like an all in one acid product + anything tea tree, and if it works so well for you and many others that you repurchase it time and time again it’s surely a product to try at least once 🤞🏼

      2. Hang on – they told you NOT to buy it?? I wonder why. Ingredients wise there’s nothing that’s likely to irritate many customers, though I’d totally understand if not everyone loved it just quite as much as I did.

      3. She had a reason, the time of year, some of the ingredients and probably needed to get sales on a different product that day. I wrote about it in one of my posts, don’t remember which but I’ll go into a bit more once I’ve tried it 😀

  3. With this great review I really want to try this Some By Mi toner now! I ‘m using The Ordinary Glycolic Solution right now and I love it very much, but this seems to be more effective because it includes more acids and the formulation looks really good. I just checked and it’s available online in my country, so I’m definitely adding it to my wish list!
